아가 7:1의 주석

Turn back, turn back [you] perfect one. They say to me, “Turn back, turn back” from following the Omnipresent.

Turn back, turn back, O maid of Shulem! Turn back, turn back that we might gaze upon you: The shekhinah says: “If Israel returns in penitence, then we will gaze upon you, we will see you in joy and honor.” Israel replies: How will you gaze at the Shulamite? In the Mahanaim dance: As in a dance performed together by two camps [mahanot]: the Glory and the shekhinah of His power. This means that He will cause the Presence to dwell in your midst.

Perfect one. You who are perfect¹According to Rashi שולמית originates from the root שלם [=complete]. Alternatively, it refers to the residents of Yerushalayim, whose original name is שלם. See Targum in Bereishis 14:18. (Gra and Ibn Ezra) in your faith with Him, “turn back, turn back”²“Turn back” is mentioned four times in this verse, alluding to the four exiles, i.e., the four powers that subjugated the Bnei Yisroel.
